A SEASON IN THE USA

The season takes place during the fall semester, from August to December.

First of all the “pre-season” which lasts 2 to 3 weeks , it is a period of intensive training which takes place before the start of the courses, during which the team prepares for the official season.

Then begins the "regular season", with a very busy schedule of matches, in addition to daily training . A team can play up to two matches per week. A team victorious in the regional championships will go to the national championships which take place in December.

In the following semester, from January to May, the teams are in training mode with only friendly matches , where they sometimes face teams from higher divisions.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The United States is known for being one of the greatest sports nations by betting on a policy of promoting men's/women's sports through schools. A policy that has borne fruit because it has now become cultural. This has made it possible to offer adequate structures to allow the practice of each sport. Depending on the school, you can find yourself in an almost professional environment.

The university championship is divided into a number of sectors and divisions:

Typically, the best players play at the NCAA Division 1 level and the majority of people who turn professional come from that level.

But that does not mean that the standard of football is lower in other divisions and certainly does not mean that

you can't become a professional.

Many foreign players end up at the NCAA Division 2 or NAIA level because they have fewer rules and regulations regarding foreign players. You will find that many NCAA Division 2 schools have teams that are actually better

FOR WHOM?

The scholarship is offered directly by American universities for students with a good athletic and academic level. The amount of the scholarship will be defined according to the level at which you are evolving and your academic results . It will allow you to finance your higher education as well as additional costs. Your role will then be to represent your university by practicing your sport.

If the sports scholarship does not cover all the costs, an academic scholarship may then be awarded to you.

You are between 17 and 24 years old.

You have a baccalaureate or a BAC +1 to BAC +3.

You play at least at the regional level.

You achieve the minimum scores required for the TOEFL & SAT.

Then you can benefit from a scholarship!
