In the United States, each university offers a wide choice of possible studies and the vast majority of the degrees obtained are recognized throughout the world. It is also possible to assert your already obtained degrees internationally, in order to enter directly into the 3rd year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree for example, in the USA.
ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE
This type of qualification is the first level of higher education, it is comparable to a 2-year diploma such as BTS or DUT in France. The fields offered are broad: business, engineering, communication, science, human sciences, social sciences etc.
BACHELOR'S DEGREE
Universities offer two types of Bachelor's degrees : the BA or the BS.
The BA is more diversified and allows you to explore a wider range of subjects (science, business, etc.)
The BS is specialized in technical and scientific subjects such as computer science, physics, etc.
This diploma is validated in 4 years.
MASTER'S DEGREE
Like the Master's degree in France, it allows students to continue their specialization for 2 years after the Bachelor's degree and its recognition is also international.

Il correspond au plus haut et dernier niveau d’études universitaires américaines. Il est obtenu après 2 ans des suites du Master. Accordé par presque 300 universités américaines, le PhD est surtout intéressant pour ceux qui souhaitent poursuivre une carrière dans la recherche ou dans l’enseignement supérieur.

THE IMPORTANCE OF CAMPUS
The university campus will be your place of life. You will find your accommodation, gyms, restaurants and libraries there. The course load being reduced compared to France, students can join associations, fraternities and sports teams of the university which are an American pride.

THE CHOICE OF STUDIES
In the United States the key word is freedom .
Students are free in the first year to discover different fields before specializing. Your first year will consist of major and minor subjects. A wide choice of studies will then be offered to you in order to fully develop yourself.
LE SYSTÈME DE CRÉDITS
Each course is worth a certain number of credits. Most colleges and universities award 3 credits for completing a course. A year of study therefore usually equals 30 credits per year , or 120 to 130 credits for a bachelor's degree and 30 to 64 credits for a master's degree.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TESTS REQUIRED?
To enroll in a university in the United States, you will have to pass an English test.
In most cases, we will have you take the Duolingo test
This is an online test that you can take on the internet and registration is free. You can practice as much as you want and take practice tests until the day you take the official test.
The total score is 160 and American universities require a score between 85 and 110 depending on their requirements.
Once you have passed the test, we can officially proceed with your registration at the university.
